BANANAS!!!
Did you know that our modern day bananas, which are called dessert or Cavendish bananas, did not exist until 1836? Our bananas right now are very different from the wild bananas that are green with only it's seeds being edible. After a couple hundreds of year, those bananas slowly developed into what is know as the cooking banana or plantain. Those bananas were green and red and they had to be cooked before they can be eaten. During the year 1836, the Jamaican Jean Francois Poujot found one of the banana trees he owned was bearing yellow bananas. Those yellow bananas were sweeter and doesn't have to be cooked to be eaten. And so he started to breed just that one type of bananas and sent it to other banana farmers to grow. This is how our modern day banana grew.
